Sister Portillo from Bolivia and Silly Missionaries

The delightful Sister Portillo join our mission while we were in Spain.  She is the most positive, happy, loving sister.  We are so excited to have her here.

Our First Thanksgiving in the Mission

This is our first Thanksgiving in England.  I realize that it is a holiday that isn't celebrated here, after all, our Pilgrims left this part of the world to eat with the Indians, or something like that.

I had no idea it would be so difficult to find a fresh turkey or how much that turkey would cost..wow.  With a little help from friends serving on an American army base, we were able to find everything that we needed to have a proper American Thanksgiving.

Our dear friends, Ann and Pat Coppin, are serving a Public Affairs mission here in England and they were able to come to London to celebrate it with us and a few missionaries who had no place to have Thanksgiving dinner.

We are so thankful for our amazing missionaries, dear friends and family, the good people of England, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The next day we had Thanksgiving dinner with the senior couples of the mission.

Delish!

Elder Curtis

Elder Curtis joined us in September and I didn't have my camera with us that day.  He was at a far end of the mission so we FINALLY got a photo with him.
He is going to be a great missionary.

A Visit from President and Sister Teixeira

President and Sister Teixeira are so delightful.  We had a wonderful mission tour with them.  They shared with us experiences they had when they served as Mission President in Brazil, encouraged us in our efforts and gave us guidance for the future.  We are so thankful to be under their watchful eyes.

We were greeted by the MTC Missionaries singing Called to Serve.

It was a lovely evening in the temple.
