Our First Thanksgiving in the Mission

This is our first Thanksgiving in England.  I realize that it is a holiday that isn't celebrated here, after all, our Pilgrims left this part of the world to eat with the Indians, or something like that.

I had no idea it would be so difficult to find a fresh turkey or how much that turkey would cost..wow.  With a little help from friends serving on an American army base, we were able to find everything that we needed to have a proper American Thanksgiving.

Our dear friends, Ann and Pat Coppin, are serving a Public Affairs mission here in England and they were able to come to London to celebrate it with us and a few missionaries who had no place to have Thanksgiving dinner.

We are so thankful for our amazing missionaries, dear friends and family, the good people of England, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The next day we had Thanksgiving dinner with the senior couples of the mission.

Delish!

  1. I laughed out loud when I saw my uncle in his apron! I love that man and I know that it can only mean one thing...MASHED POTATOES. Excuse me, I mean MASH.
